Eisai Co., Ltd., was the first Japanese company to have a 100% subsidiary in the Indian pharmaceutical market.

Eisai Pharmaceuticals India Pvt. Ltd. was established in India 20 years ago as a subsidiary of Eisai Co., Ltd., Japan, and is a research and development-oriented pharmaceutical company.

As one example of this commitment, in March 2026 we commenced the distribution in India of Lemborexant, an innovative treatment for insomnia discovered by Eisai and manufactured at our own facility in Vizag. We believe this milestone represents a key step toward improving access to innovative medicines and benefiting a greater number of patients across India.
